From Boppy to Bumbo

Where do they come up with these names for children's development toys? Here are some shots of me in the grass for the first time and my bumbo. I don't like my bumbo yet....but I will get used to it.

Baby Blue are the color of my Eyes......

Like the George Strait song, somehow I ended up with blue eyes and they just keep getting more blue. My doctor and my nurses said that they will be blue. Mom and Dad are shocked since they both have brown eyes, I guess that recessive gene on both my mommy and daddy's side has surfaced in me!

What a big week! Mommy went back to work this week and Daddy took care of me all week long....we had a great time! I have one more week with Daddy :-) This week I got even better at holding my head up, blowing bubbles, I smile a lot more and I will talk to you for hours :-) I like to study your face when you talk and I will talk back.

Wednesday, Daddy brought me to Rudy's and we met Mommy for lunch. Afterward that, we went to Mommy's work, where her friend Kim threw us a party. I loved getting to meet all the great people Mommy works with.

Friday, Daddy surprised Mommy with 2 beautiful gifts (push presents)! A sapphire and diamond channel set eternity band to go on the other side of her engagement ring and her Bevo Bling.....check it out! Saturday, Daddy got us breakfast from Rudys. Then my second cousin had his high school graduation party. He graduated on Wednesday from Round Rock high school and will be attending A&M in the fall. Congratulations Drew!
After the graduation party, I got to go and meet Andrew Collins (who is almost 3 weeks old)....my future room mate at UT :-) Our Daddy s roomed together while working on their PhDs at UT....maybe one day we will too!

Mom's First Day Back to Work and a New Tradition

Today Mom went back to work and I missed her so much....but I loved getting to stay home with Dad. We played and played and he even took me for a walk to the pool to show me where he is going to take me later this summer. I had a good day, Mommy is lucky to go back to an environment that is extremely supportive of working moms. When Mom left in the morning I was sleeping on Dad's chest on the sofa. I think I will enjoy the next two weeks.

Dad has started a new tradition and Mommy loves it! Ever since Mother's Day, Dad has gone out early on Saturday and picked up breakfast for the family and Mom's favorite coffee. What a great family to be born into!

Maternity Leave is Over

Back to work on Monday for Mommy.....I have no idea what is in store for me! Daddy will watch me over the next two weeks, so at least I won't have to leave my home just yet....or have a stranger here. Mommy will miss me so very much. Here are some cute pics of me over the week.....wow - it flew by!

I have been given a hard time since the last post was only a post and no pics....so here you go! I hate getting baths, but LOVE how I feel after them! Boy am I starting to look quite chunky! Mom has nicknamed me Panzon!

Last week of Maternity Leave...Ashtanga, the Dentist, and More....

Mommy's last week of maternity leave has been a busy one! On Sunday, she returned to Ashtanga Yoga with Shelly....I think it must have hurt because she has been whining all week about being sore. On Tuesday, Grandma watched me while mommy went to the dentist. She had her first cavity ever filled and did it without anesthesia, so that I would not have to skip out on a meal :-) I am so lucky to have my Mommy.....although she did make the statement that future kiddos would have to deal with formula post dentist because there was no way she is going through another filling without anesthesia! I don't know what the rest of the week will hold, but I am getting sad that Mommy will be leaving me soon :-( to return to work.

12 Weeks Old!

I have started to "kinda" sleep through the night. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.....but the days I do, Mom and Dad seem much happier! Lately I have been waking up in the mornings giggling and giving Mommy big smiles!

I am ALMOST rolling over. Yesterday Mom was figuring out the Baby Bjorn and I was rolling all over the place....I almost made it completely over on my stomach....Just gotta get my arm outta the way!

What a Weekend!

What a fun weekend I had!

Friday - Lunch with Daddy at Mighty Fine Burgers and then playtime again with my best friend Jake (thank you Miranda!). Everytime I play with Jake, I come home so tired that I sleep 6 hours at night! What a blessing for mom and dad!

Saturday - My girlfriends Reagan and Kate came to see me along with my Mommy's good friends Amy and Justin. Then Mommy and Daddy left me with Grandma Dingley and went to Kolby's (my future girlfriend's ;-) 1 year bday party. They told me I could go next year when I am bigger. I can't wait!!

Sunday - Aunt Laura and Uncle Ryan stopped by to see me and brought me clothes, including my first Texas Rangers' shirt. I had fun playing with them and smiling. Mom and Dad have never seen me so happy in the morning! Then Grandma was so nice to stay over and let Mom and Dad go to a movie while I stayed at home. Once they got back, we all posed for a "Luckenbach" picture. I had to show off my new Luckenbach onesie that Juan and Michele got me!

What a weekend! I had so much fun....I can't wait to start a new week. When can we play some more Jake?

What a difference 10 weeks have made. August is 11 weeks old today. Here are pics from when he was 1 week old and then one from this week. It is amazing to me how much bigger he is! He has earned the new nickname....Hoggie Augie.

Mother's Day

Mommy hijacked my blog to write the following:

I love having a new Holiday to celebrate. My boys really took care of me on Sunday. Richard got up and went to pick us up breakfast at Panera and then boiled shrimp and made wedge salads for dinner. What a wonderful holiday....it is nice to have a holiday in the Spring :-) I was going to attend my first Ashtanga yoga class since getting pregnant, but wimped out and went running instead. I am starting to up my mileage and am at 4 miles now, but I think I need to get a little stronger before heading back to Ashtanga.....maybe next weekend!

I Love my Aunt Marci

I love you aunt Marci and Grandma Dingley. Thank you so much for coming to see me and for bringing Mommy her favorite sandwich and coffee from Panera. My Saturday was so much fun. I played on my special quilt with my aunt and grandma, nursed from mommy, and then fell asleep on Aunt Marci. What a nice day :-)

I moved!

Last night I spent my first "night" (ie the 3 hours I slept) in my crib! I LOVE to stretch and did not have enough room in my bassinet to do my hourly stretches....so I have moved on to my own room! The bassinet will move upstairs for now until I have a baby brother or sister! Mom is sad to see me move out of her room....but that bassinet was just too tight for me!

On Tuesday, my friend Addie turned 1! Mom and Dad decided I was not old enough to attend the birthday party....but I did get to go and spend the evening with Grandma Dingley while Mom and Dad went to the party. I got Addie a UT outfit....I hope she liked it. After the party, we all took our first family photo. Mommy looks a bit tired, maybe that is because I didn't let her sleep the night before!

Almost 10 weeks

Tomorrow I turn 10 weeks and I have been eating more and sleeping less!! Especially last night....I decided to stay up all night and play! Mom and Dad are hoping that I get my days and nights straightened out before May is up and Mom has to return to work.
