Happy year and a half birthday August!

Its so hard to believe you are already a year and a half! Happy half birthday Baby Boy! You have had a very busy week. You started full time with your new caregiver on Monday. For a first day - you did pretty good. You ate well and played hard (rode on cars outside, dumptrucks inside, and the water table in the afternoon), but you didn't want to nap, so instead of "patting" you to bed, you were rocked to bed for naptime.....looks like you lucked out there! This morning, your new caretaker made you whole wheat waffles and blueberries.....it looked so good, Mommy wanted to stay for breakfast! Mommy does miss seeing you all day online, but at least she gets text messages through out the day on how you are doing :-)
At a year and a half your sweet personality is really starting to shine through and your vocabulary is really picking up! You talk non-stop......wonder where you got that from?! You try and be VERY helpful to Mommy and Daddy....wanting to help with whatever project/chore they are working on. Here are some of your favorites:
Toys: Trucks of any kind....especially construction type trucks and Balls
Color: Red and Yellow.....if there is a red or a yellow truck - that is the one you want to play with always!
Food: Meat and Veggies....you LOVE meat....you are such a BOY!
Book: Your Ladybug counting book and your Roger Rhino book (has dumptrucks in it)
Words: Mama, Daddy (you say it in a really excited way), Dumptruck, Basketball (ANYTHING round is a "basketball" - even Mommy's trackball on her Blackberry), Bug - for the Ladybug that visited you on the window the other day, "Na na na" - while shaking your head "NO" - this is a new one....
Song: Isty Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus
New thing to do: Talk in the car on the entire ride - pointing out all the "dumptrucks" you see.

August we love you very very dearly. You have brought so much joy and happiness to our lives! Keep growing Baby Boy!
