More of August showing off his "Woody" Pajamas!
Helping Daddy hang pictures
I was moving all the winter clothes out of their drawers and August found his mittens....poor RDH does not have mittens, so I put socks on his hands. He didnt know the difference and LOVED it!
The boys first crawfish boil. August spotted the baby pool and dove straight in with his clothes on!
They had so much fun playing with the other kids and listening to live music
Listening to Matt Deaton Play
Eating on a Sunday evening at home
Ready for my board meetings and 22 weeks pregnant. I had to take a picture of the maternity suit....I dont know why I find it funny that they make maternity suits (as I definitely needed one this week), but for some reason I do.
My new nephew! Jeremiah!
I love him!
Baby and Mommy
Here I am smothering the two of them
Mommy and Daddy and Jeremiah!
Jeremiah Joseph joined the outside world at 6:51am on May 4th weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce, 19.5 inches long, and a full head of red hair. He is so precious and I am so happy I got to already visit him twice!

Conversations with August
Some recent funny conversations with August....I love the way this kid thinks!
Background: To encourage August to eat and to go to bed on time, I told him that it will make him big. That when he eats healthy he gets big and strong and when he sleeps all night in his big boy bed, he gets bigger! He is very interested and excited to be big like Daddy, so this motivation is very effective!
August - after waking up in the morning: "Mommy! I got bigger. I am going to get bigger and bigger, not giant.....just bigger."
August had a Toy Story "Woody" band aid on a mosquito bite that he refused to take off. It was starting to make the bite worse.....so I told him we would have to take it off or he would get impetigo. Somehow in August's mind, "impetigo" got turned into a green superhero that scares August. But now it is easy to get him to wash his hands and let me put on neosporin on cuts.....because all I have to do is threaten that impetigo is coming! Terrible, yet effective!
Last night I had a conversation with August because his friend Adi is moving back to India for the summer and today is the last day he gets to play with Adi. August and Adi have been friends at Gina for almost two years, so I know he will miss him. August's response is that Mommy, Baby____ (he calls him by name, but we arent telling anyone yet :-), Richard Dean, and Daddy should all move to India too. Uhhhhh, sorry August - no thanks!
I love having conversation with August! Especially at night when I am tucking him in. Everynight I ask him what he wants to thank God for. Sometimes he thanks God for Mommy, the baby in Mommy's belly, "Drother", and Daddy.......other times, it is his whole list of friends, and sometimes it is just as simple as "cars."

Updates for August and RDH
August is completely potty trained and has had no accidents in months! So now at night he is in big boy pajamas to make it easier for him to go potty before we go to bed and first thing in the morning. I am SO proud of him! He has done so well and I love not having to change his diapers! woo hoo!! Look how happy he is here in his big boy pjs! He is very proud of himself as well and likes to talk about how he doesnt wear diapers, but "drother" still pee pees and poops in his pants.
August is so much fun to be around! His little personality is all fun and adventure and this child never gets tired! I need to get his official 3 year stats up here - yes i am way behind....but from memory, he weighs 28 pounds, and is in the 75th percentile for head and height!
August is sharing so well with his brother and is such a sweet little boy. He helps out RDH and shares really well for a 3 year old! I am super proud of him.
His verbal and reasoning skills surprise me everyday! He can sing his ABCs......but does not always include all the correct letters :-) he can identify all his letters. He knows where he lives (his address) and he know where his friends live (Grayson and Adi's Addresses). he can count to 12 and recognize his numbers. He even started adding the other day - by counting the two groups up. He knows all his colors and his memory is crazy good....the other day he told me what each one of his friends was for Halloween last year! I didnt even remember Hayden had been a Cowboy - but August did! August we are so proud of you and love you so much!
RDH is getting more and more vocal. He talks non stop.....and he likes it when you look him right in the eye when he is talking.
Some of his clear words are:
Mama (his first word, the word he says most often, and the word he yells first thing in the morning)
Dada
Hot
Cracker
Waffle
Poo Poo (while grabbing his diaper if it is dirty - he hates dirty diapers!)
Water
More (along with the sign)
No - while pointing his little finger (YIKES!)
Up
Down
Ball
Bye - while waving
Hi
He is working on saying August
He can sign (more and thank you)
RDH has become quite the feisty younger brother! He can and will take on pretty much any child over a toy!
