Family Vacation and three Birthdays!!!!!

RDH is a MONKEY!!!!!  and climbs everywhere.....here he likes to climb and dangle...holding on by one hand as he turns the stairway light on and off!

LAKEWAY!!!!!  We went on a family vacation just 30 minutes from our house to Lakeway Spa and Resort.  Richard and I love going out here...it is such a nice escape and even better you dont have to spend half a day traveling to get there.  Gina was closed on Thursday and Friday for her vacation, so the boys joined us this year.  They had an absolute BLAST!  We rented one of the biggest hotel rooms they had and it was totally worth the extra money for the 4 of us!

Lakeway Resort has three pools.  Last year Richard and I hung out at the adult pool with the swim up bar the whole time.....this year, it was the kid pool for us!  August was too small for the slide (didnt pass the height requirement), but that didnt stop him from climbing up to almost the top to slide down!

Dinner - night 1 at Maudies.  August spilled his milk everywhere by accident and told the waiter when he came to clean it up "Im sorry I spilled the milk, it was an accident"  He is so cute!

Ahhhhhhhh my cabana at the pool.  Richard rented this for me because this is the only way I could survive being outside in July, 33 wks pregnant.  My Dr didnt want me getting into the kids pool since it allowed for kids that arent potty trained to be in there.  We didnt want to take any chances with my water breaking.....so this is where I hung out. 

I even had my own personal TV.  It was awesome!

And they kept bringing me drinks!  Too bad I couldnt order alcohol ones!

August's pull out sleeper sofa.  I went and bought August new bedding for the hotel so he would get excited about sleeping on this new bed.  It worked and he was SO excited to sleep on his new spiderman pillow!

We came back home on Saturday and then it was off to Janae's 2 yr bday party.  There arent many pictures because we were so tired from Lakeway!

Saturday was also Richard's birthday, but we wait until Sunday to celebrate, which is also my mom's birthday. I made a lemon vanilla cake from scratch, which I think turned out really good....although I couldnt eat much of it and we went to Mighty Fine for dinner.  Overall, it was an awesome 4 days!!!  Richard and I slept really good last night!!!!

 

31+ weeks pregnant

31+ weeks pregnant.....where did time go!?  I realized the other day that I have gotten NOTHING for Baby Heller.....and had a bit of a freak out moment!  I have since then bought one pack of diapers.....I need to figure out what else I need to get and take care of it because time is ticking away.....August came 4 weeks from now and RDH came 4.5 weeks from now and it is getting hotter and I am getting bigger....which means shopping is not quite as fun these days!  Maybe this baby will stay in even longer than his brothers and I will end up having more time!

Friendship and Stat Update

I realize I have been TERRIBLE about posting stats on the boys!  So here goes some catch up:
RDH: 
15 months appointment - which really happened when he was 17 months
Head: 47.5 cm - 50-75th percentile

Weight: 21 pounds 8.5 ounces - 25th percentile
Height: 32.5 inches - 50th percentile

18 month appointment (which actually didnt occur until he was 19 and a half months ( I know - terrible....but his 15 month appt didnt occur until he was 17 mos.....oops!)
Head: 48.5 cm - 75th percentile
Weight:  23 pounds 9.5 ounces - 25-50th percentile
Height:  32.5 inches - 50th percentile

August - 3 YEAR appt!!!
Weight:  30 pounds 8 ounces - 25th percentile
Height:  37.75 inches - 75th percentile

The boys are GROWING!!!  Still both on the skinny tall side of the charts.  Its because they are always on the go.  These kids do not sit still!

Onto the next part of the post.....friendship....

About 3 months ago, August's friend Adi who had been with him at Ginas for 2 years now, went to India with his mom to visit family for the summer.  August misses Adi SO much....more than I thought a 3 yr old could miss a friend.  AT LEAST 3-5 times a day he asks me to call Adi's mom and tell her to bring Adi back to Ms Gina's so he can play.  At night, during his prayers, he prays to God for Adi to come back to Ms Gina's to play because he misses him.  It breaks my heart that he misses his little friend so much.  I had no idea a 3 year old could feel this way about a friend.  I think it is sweet that August cares so much about his friend.  Yesterday Adi's dad (who is still in the US) stopped by Ginas and let August and Adi talk on the phone.  Apparently Adi has been asking his mom when he can go back to the US and play with his friends.  It is a good thing August still has Grayson to play with all day....without him I think August would be one sad little boy!

Congratulations to Richard who just got a big promotion at work!  We are all so proud of you.  You are so humble, so you will probably get mad at me for putting this on the blog......but hey the blog is our family book, so I am recording it!

August

August took this picture of himself with Richard's iPhone.  It is one of my most favorite pictures of him and makes me smile everytime I look at it.  The crumb under his bottom lip and the booger in his nose just add to the character of the picture.  August loves to play with our phones and especially loves to make videos of himself.  We have some awesome ones he has recorded recently! 

Pregnancy Weight

So I just got done with my 27+ week appointment today.  It looks like I have gestational diabetes again in this pregnancy.  I had it with August, didnt have it with RDH, and now have it again with #3.  Richard and I were discussing this with the DR since it will involve an "awesome" no sugar diet.  Our discussion started to direct towards weight and if women in general were gaining more weight than say women 30 years ago (my OB has been in practice for over 35 years) and why they didnt test for gestational diabetes 30 years ago.  Well apparently, OB's used to advise women to only have a 15 pound weight gain for the entire pregnancy.  Yes, you read that right - 15 POUNDS - the whole pregnancy!  HA!  no wonder babies were smaller and GD wasnt a problem.....you would have to be on a pretty strict diet to only gain 15 pounds in a whole pregnancy!  And I thought I had done good with a 30 pound gain with August and a 28 pound gain with RDH!  Guess 30 yrs ago....I would have been overweight!  Right now I am sitting at about 19 pounds gained.....so I am already past the 15 :-)  but now I am on a diet.....so we will see what I end up with!
Anyway - had to share.  I was shocked with the answer of 15 pounds.
