I am getting ready for my baptism! It will be in Laredo, TX at San Agustin. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cathedral_of_San_Agustin). This is the church that my Daddy was baptised at and my grandparents were married in. It is also in part how Daddy came up with my name.

Daddy organized a private baptism with St Agustin, so I will have the spotlight on me :-) Mommy and Grandma Dingley scoured Austin to find just the right gown. They ended up having a custom made Bognar & Piccolini gown from Baby Bugaloo created for me. It is linen and lined in Italian silk and lace and I love it! Mommy is also having a linen bib made for me with my initial in blue.....hopefully it is finished soon, since we leave on Friday.

Mommy is terrified of packing for my first overnight trip, so wish her luck! I am special, because I will be the only Heller baby baptised here....as all my future brothers/sisters will be baptised in Austin at St Thomas More, the church my Mommy grew up in and my Dingley grandparents founded. St Thomas More is also where my parents were married.

Mom has decided that she will continue to nurse me until I am at least 6 months old. She was not planning on continuing this long - especially with returning to work full time, but I am just so darn cute and I am getting faster at nursing, so why give up now? So even though this means less sleep for mom, breaks in the day at work, and pain after about 4 hours, she has decided to stick with it. She figures if she commits to it and blogs about it, she won't back out. All those nursing moms and former nursing moms out there....please send her encouragement because I love mommy's milk!

Happy first 4th of July!!! I had such a great weekend!!!

Thursday: Mommy took off from work and we played all day :-) We took a trip to Babies R Us to buy me some presents and Mommy's brand new car was hit in the parking lot.... with no note :-( Unfortunately, there is a nice long scratch down the side of it now. Oh well, at least we got my gifts.

Friday: Stephanie, Mark, and Barrett came all the way from Dallas to visit me at my house! Thanks guys! Then in the evening, Juan and Michele came to my house to hang out with Mommy, Daddy, and me. We watched the fireworks in our backyard over the golf course in our neighborhood and could even hear some of the live music from the concert at the course. Daddy made us chopped beef sliders for dinner ...what a great evening!

Saturday: I headed out to San Antonio for my second road trip. This time we went to visit my friends the Siegfrieds, Grubbs, and Carswells. These are all Mommy's old co-workers from when she worked at Ernst and Young in San Antonio. We had a blast and I even got to go swimming....in the baby pool of course! Mommy is not ready for me to be in the big pool yet.....

Sunday: Hung out at home and rested from our big weekend out! Grandma came over to watch me for this week!!

wake up usually twice during the night and fall back asleep by being soothed.....not picked up though....my parents are trying to "Ferberize" me.

I have started "crawling" I scoot along in my room.....I am becoming semi-mobile - so WATCH OUT!

I love to roll and that is all I do these days!

Sleep update....the Sandman remembered to stop by my room the last 3 nights!!! WooooHoooo says Mommy and Daddy! Lets keep this up! Mommy instituted a strict nighttime routine (which includes reading my prayer book from Great Aunt Lynne) and Grandma Dingley monitored my eating and napping through out the day. Hopefully we can stick to the "schedule."

Mi Abuela y Yo
Sacked out on mi abuela.....one of the last times I have slept!!!!


Last week was SO much fun! My Abuela Heller came and stayed with me all week and took very good care of me. She spoke and sang to me in spanish and we played all day long. Grandma Dingley comes back this week.....I am so lucky to spend this time with my grandmothers! This week, I kept my hands in my mouth all week long and I started rolling!!! :-)

I also decided on Thursday that I don't need to sleep the night anymore and did not sleep on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night :-( Mommy and Daddy need more sleep, so they need to figure out why I am not sleeping!!! If anyone has suggestions on what will make me sleep, please tell Mommy....she is very tired.

Friday I had my 4 month appointment with Nurse Darcy. My appointment went very well and I am meeting all my milestones. Darcy was very impressed with how active I am :-) I have grown so much! Of course I had my second round of shots... :-( I ran a fever afterwards and have some slight bruising at the shot site, but overall, I seemed fine.....except for the no sleeping - but that happened before the shots too.... Daddy was there to hold me down and mommy was there to nurse me afterwards.

Saturday Mommy went to yoga and lunch with Aunt Nancy :-) while I stayed home with Daddy. Aunt Nancy bought me some really cool Baby Havaianas - check me out modeling above. Daddy and I read books and played with me in the backyard. I am such a lucky little boy!

Sunday, I headed to San Antonio for my first road trip. We went to see my Great Aunt Millie and Papa and Abuela Heller. I35 went down to one lane on during the trip and I did not like that, but after San Marcus it picked up again and I was happy.
What another good week!

I turn 4 months today and I am still nursing :-) Mommy says she likes providing me nutrition, but hates the pumping (and the pain after about 4 hours....you moms know what she is talking about!!).

Last night I watched the Horns win against LSU. Mommy dressed me in my baseball outfit and Daddy and I cheered UT to victory :-) Go Augie!

I have discovered the camera now....if I am doing something adorable and Mommy grabs that camera - I instantly stop and put on my "camera" face.....I hate that flash!

Yesterday afternoon and big package arrived for me....Thank you Aunt Lynne! My Aunt Lynne bought me a bunch of gifts for my upcoming baptism!! :-) pics to come.....

Daddy had a great father's day. Mommy and I played all morning and let Daddy sleep in. Then Mommy went and picked up breakfast for Daddy. Sunday afternoon my abuela showed up to take care of me this week.

Week 16 to 17

This week both mommy and daddy went to work and I stayed home with Grandma. We had so much fun!!! She read and sang to me and we played all day long! This coming week, abuela is coming to take care of me.

My milestones this week were: I found my hands!!! and they are tasty.....I chew on them so much, mommy thinks I may be teething already. I like to just sit and stare at them as I join them together. I am enjoying my toys more and I am starting to be more on a schedule through out the day. :-) Also, towards the end of the week....I found my knees :-) I think my feet will be next! I LOVE blankies....you put one near me and I will snuggle up....I am such a snuggler! Check out my picture above!

Friday, I watched the Horns beat ASU with Daddy.....check me out sitting on the couch with my baseball. This baseball is from when dad went to the CWS in Omaha in 2004.

Saturday, I got to meet my mommy's good friend Kim.....she is making me a friend right now :-) Mommy says he is due to be born on August 11th....I can't wait to play with him. Mommy helped host Kim's baby shower on Saturday and I made an appearance. Daddy took me home after about 30 minutes so I could rest.

Wanted: Caretaker - Who could resist me?

Who wants to take care of me in August? Daddy goes back to work tomorrow and my grandma Dingley and Abuela Heller will take care of me until August. Then I am taking bids to see where I go next. Let me know if you want to throw your hat in. :-) Mommy has interviewed nannies and baby jails (her reference for daycares) but we aren't sure where I will be....In the meantime, I am taking bids to where I will stay. Who can resist me?

This weekend grandma came over and we went shopping for my baptism gown....we are ordering one that is hand made.....hopefully they can get it to us in time. After gown shopping, Mommy bought me a hat and sunglasses...the sunglasses are a bit girly, but they were the only baby ones left and my eyes need the protection!

Mom could not resist adding the picture of me sleeping..... I rotated a full 90 degrees after Dad put me down.
