August had a fantastic birthday party this weekend! It was pirate themed! God gave us the BEST February weather I have ever seen and we had so many friends and family join us. This pirate bounce house with slide was such a hit. I also hired the food truck from Boomerangs to come and do the event. It was so special and they were awesome! They let the kids have run of the truck....they got to help prepare and serve the food. It was so special because at the beginning August got to go in the food truck by himself and then the Boomerangs guy raised open the serving window/awning and there was August in the truck at the serving window and all his friends were outside looking in. I have never seen his smile so big....he felt so special! And what a neat idea from Boomerangs!
Oh and the food was sooooooo delicious! People were going back for seconds!

Chocolate cake with chocolate icing. This was not an easy cake to make! Cupcakes I have done, but cakes are harder!

It was so nice to have Aunt Linda join the fun! So happy she made the long drive in for August's special day!
