Sam had his 6 month well check yesterday and August had his 4 year well check.....and both had shots....lots of them!
Onto Sam...
Weight: 16 pounds 2.5 ounces - 25th percentile. Still seems super chunky to me, although only in the 25th percentile!
Head: 43 cm - 50th percentile
Height: 26.5 inches - 50th percentile
I just looked back at August and RDH's stats at 6 months and this is hard to believe, but BOTH August and RDH weighed MORE than Sam at 6 months! WOW!
August weighed 16 pounds 6 ounces, had the same head measurement as Sam and was 26.25 inches long. RDH weighed a whopping 17 pounds 7 ounces, had the same head measurement, and was the exact same length as Sam.
Since Sam started out a full 2 pounds heavier than RDH and 2.5 pounds heavier than August, I would have thought he would weigh more at 6 months, but no! He still seems super chunky to me! And WOW!!! RDH must have been eating a lot at night since he was my baby who would not take a bottle!
Sam got all his boosters and a flu shot yesterday. I was shocked they were still giving flu shots, I figured he wouldnt have one until next season (cant get a flu shot until a child is 6 months old). Apparently our pediatrician is still seeing lots of flu cases. The flu is bad this year.
Onto August....
Weight: 33 pounds - 25th percentile
Height: 40 inches - 50th percentile.
August did awesome at the Dr. He had a vision and hearing test and followed all the Drs directions. He also had 4 shots :-( DTAP, IPV, MMR, and Varicella boosters. Poor August! He thought he was only going in for one shot....not four. He had even decided which leg the Dr was going to be allowed to do the shot in.
