What a great weekend I had...after a week of being sick, I really could use some fun and that is what I got! On Friday night, I got to visit the Salt Lick for the first time and soak in some of Driftwood, TX. Then on Saturday, it was off to Hudson's 1st birthday party. He had a luau, so Mommy dressed Daddy and I in our best Hawaiian attire and we headed out to party! I had so much fun playing with Hudson....I just know we will be good friends one day....we have so much in common! Happy Birthday Hudson! Since we were in NW Austin for Hudson's party, we swung by grandma's to see Aunt Marci. She let me play with her cell phone and I loved it...a little too much.....Mommy says thanks Aunt Marci!
This past week, I have started finding my body parts.....it started with my belly....but I have also found others....

Happy Belated 13 months!

You can still celebrate the month birthdays after the 1 year mark? right.....?
Mommy is 2 days late on my 13 month birthday post because I have been quite a handful! I have been very sick this week with my double ear infections and have even lost a little of my chubbiness from not eating the last 3 days :-( but today I woke up fever -free! So hopefully I am on the road to recovery! Good thing Grandma could come watch me all week long since I could not return to school! Also - Mommy thinks I may have had roseola in addition to my ear infections.....as a rash appeared last night after my 3 day fever broke. One of the little boys in my class just got over roseola......hmmmm
So....more about me this month:
1. I love my stacking cups....I am really good at making sure I have the right size cup to fit together.
2. Still incredibly attached to my "day day" aka daddy. I want him over everyone, including mom.
3. Enjoying books! Especially my new ladybug book Mommy got me!
4. Eating pretty much anything Mommy will allow! Mommy is pretty strict with my diet - gotta stay healthy!
5. I am extremely affectionate. On my sheet last week from daycare, it said "August enjoyed hugging all his classmates when we returned from the playground." awe!!
6. My favorite toys right now are: my farm set from Kolby - I especially like to push the "tomato", my ball from Hudson, and my elephant toy from Jake and Morgan.
Tomorrow I get to go to my friend Hudson's 1 year birthday party! I can't wait!!
On another note.....today - a year ago, was my due date......I fooled Mommy and Daddy pretty good!

Double Ear Infection

Well, at least I waited until over a year old before my first ear infection! Although, now I have an infection in both ears! My ears are bothering me, but the good news is that I get to stay home and play with grandma!
I am on antibiotics for the infection and hope to be feeling better soon. Mommy and Daddy are hoping this does not effect my sleep at night! I was supposed to FINALLY go in for my 1 year well check and shots tomorrow, but now it will have to wait until I get better. Sorry - no 1 year stats! Although today at the doctors, fully clothed, I weighed 22 pounds! So that is a good estimate!

Refusing to take my nap on Saturday, yet so tired that I had to keep taking "breaks" on my football.

Saturday I got my first haircut! Mommy and Daddy took me to a special place and I got to sit in an airplane! I had so much fun, I didn't even notice what the stylist was doing to me. Mommy and Daddy said I did great! And now I look even more adorable :-)

Other updates on me include....
1. Standing by myself.....I do this A LOT, but am kinda nervous to take those first few steps!

Mommy gives most of the credit to daycare for this schedule....as they are really strict in my new toddler room! But it seems that my body has adjusted to this schedule and Mommy and Daddy try to really keep this on the weekend so that Mondays aren't so hard for me!
4. I play catch now.....I love to throw the ball and have you throw it back.
5. Talking....I say lots of new things now! And I am actively engaged in trying to communicate.
6. Eating ALL table foods! I am on all table foods and milk! Go me! And I feed myself everything! No more baby food....I am a toddler ;-) Mommy makes me homemade food every weekend to take to school so I can stay healthy :-) My favorite are whole grain noodles and special meatballs :-)

Happy St Patrick's Day! I had a great St. Patrick's Day! Kolby came to visit me and gave me the coolest toy ever for my birthday! I had so much fun playing with her!

Circle Time

I (Mommy) am sitting here, witnessing "circle time" at daycare. There are cameras in Augie's room at daycare, so I can watch him while I am at work and from 1030-11am they have circle time where all 13 toddlers sit quietly on a mat in a circle while the teacher reads to them for 30 minutes and the other teacher prepares lunch! How she gets 13 toddlers to sit quietly, on a mat, in a circle.....with no types of soothing props (pacifiers and toys from home are not allowed in the room) is beyond me.....but they do it everyday and everyday, I witness in awe. Of course they also somehow manage to get these 13 toddler to nap, on mats for 2 hours everyday from 12-2....amazing......

After a rough day at daycare. Look at my pants!!! Mommy wasn't kidding about playground time. Here I am enjoying a special smoothie Mommy made for me after school. When we get home I get a special smoothie (to make up for all the stuff I didn't eat at daycare, plus Mommy can hide things in it that I would not normally eat - thank you Hudson's Mommy for this idea!!!) and Mommy and I head out for a run!

I usually fall asleep on my runs. Mommy has no idea how this is comfortable!


Mommy caught me one morning trying to sleep in....probably because I refused to go to sleep earlier than 11pm the night before. And yes, that is a surprise waiting for Mommy in my diaper. Dirty diapers do not bother me at all.....Mommy thinks I am probably going to be hard to potty train.

Hope you enjoyed the pics of my new room! Mommy and Daddy had new high baseboards put in, chair railing and painted the top part of the room green.
Last week was my first full days in the toddler room. I am still getting used to being around all the big kids, but I have done very well with eating and sleeping in the room. I do cry more because I really miss Ms G from my infant room. I am also still getting used to outside play because I can't walk yet, so there is not much for me to do on the playground other than roll around in and eat the dirt. I am pretty messy and worn out each day Mommy picks me up.
