Lakeway!

Mommy taking a leisurely adult phone call with NO kids screaming in the background ...or pulling on the phone....Whenever I am on the phone, I usually have August trying to grab it away from me because he thinks I am talking to either Gina or Grandma (I usually am) and he wants to talk to them!
Richard by the infinity pool (they had 3 pools out there!) This one is restricted to those 21 and up because it has the swim up bar :-)
Me enjoying a drink.
Richard and his new friend. We met the nicest couple while we were at Lakeway. They were also out away from their baby for the first time like us. We had a lot of fun bonding over being parents and laughing at some of the other hotel guests who had partaken in quite a few drinks in the pool. The couple was even close friends with Quan Cosby, and called him up so Richard could talk to him. That was pretty cool!
View from the balcony where we had breakfast. The lake was low! Too much heat, not enough rain!
I didn't post a picture of the view from our room balcony, but it was amazing! We have a friend that we met through the Texas Exes that is a manager at Lakeway Resort and Spa. She is so sweet and kind and really made sure our stay at Lakeway was special. When we arrived at the resort she had arranged for a minifrig to be in our room, since she knew I am still nursing. She also had wine and beer chilling and a yummy cheese and fruit tray delivered to our room upon arrival. And to top that all off, she put gifts in the room for the boys - 2 lakeway hats that August now terms as his "boat hat" - since there is a boat on there. She even placed us in a room at the very end of the hall on the top floor for extra privacy. How sweet and thoughtful!
This was the first night we have ever spent away from the kids, unless you count the nights we spent in the hospital to HAVE RDH......which I totally do not think should count. On Friday we headed out to Lakeway in the afternoon. That evening we did come home and help grandma put the boys to sleep....that is just too hard for one person to do. They are both so young and both need a lot of attention to go to bed. Saturday night, I am proud to say that we didn't head home though :-) Aunt Marci came and helped, so we felt comfortable staying out at Lakeway. A HUGE THANK YOU to Grandma and Aunt Marci for allowing us to do this!!! And thank you to Aunt Sandra for coming and playing with the boys. Richard and I are so grateful and we know we could never have done this weekend away without you guys! thank you! After 2 full nights of sleep (the first in over 9 months for me), a massage, and a facial....I feel awesome!

RDH is 9 MONTHS old! - Late post ....

9 MONTHS OLD ALREADY!!!
and mommy is late again with the post!

At 9 months I am army crawling like a PRO. I am super fast! I am also pulling up on everything and I love to sit! I am doing great with food! I eat 2 solid meals a day still and nurse the rest of the time. Mommy was nervous to put me up to 3 meals a day because she was worried about how much breastmilk I was getting (since i dont drink that much during the day while mommy is at work).....well after this weekend - she is no longer worried! Mommy has never stayed away from me at night (or evening for that matter) so we have never known exactly how much bmilk I consume since I nurse. Well this weekend, Mommy was away from me over night on Saturday and I ate 35 ozs of bmilk in 24 hours! DANG! time to put another solid meal in my diet!
I am getting more and more vocal and love to talk to my brother! I love my toys and books. My favorite toy right now is my brother's old ladybug toy that Aunt Sandra bought him (this was his favorite as well when he was a baby). I also love the tow truck that Aunt Linda got my brother for Christmas and the music table that Stephanie got August when he was a baby! Lately, I have had my eye on "Ho Ho," but I know my brother will never let me play with him.....but I least I get him for my monthly pictures!

Birthday Girl!
August had so much sugar that day!
Pinata Candy and Pinata!

Running off some of the sugar consumed during the day.
SNOWCONES! (with very little syrup)
The Train!

August rode the train like 4 times! Three times by himself and once with Daddy.

Its been a busy July with so many Heller birthdays in one week and Janae's birthday. The boys are doing great and August continues to be a sweet sweet child and helps me out so much with his now high maintenance brother :-) I think RDH is going through a phase (at least that is what i hope it is....a phase) where he has to be glued to me 24/7. I love him dearly, but hopefully he will start adjusting to some independent time soon! RDH is army crawling like a pro and can get anywhere by himself....even up the stairs in our rotunda which now houses a ball pit (classy-huh?) August's language is EXPLODING. He has full on conversations now and it is so awesome to be able to talk to my little man. He is so sweet and loves playing with all his friends, baby brother, mommy, and daddy! He is really well behaved and says please and thank you for everything....I am just so impressed with him these days. God only gives you what you can handle....and I guess since RDH is a handful these days, he is really helping me out with August and making him an angel!

RDH 8 MONTHS old! - LATE post

These pictures were much harder to capture as RDH is moving everywhere!!!!
I am late on this post, but better late than never!
Sweet RDH....here are some highlights for this month:
1. Army crawling everywhere!
2. 2 solid meals a day (usually late morning and evening). The rest of the time you spend nursing.....even at night. You still do not really like the bottle (only take about 5 ozs total all day while I am at work), I dont think you ever will.....so I am committed to keep nursing you for as long as you need.
3. You love love love your brother and he loves you so much. I see a very strong friendship forming between the two of you!
4. Favorite toys include: rattles, mirrors, and books....and anything you can chew on
5. Have 2 bottom teeth all the way in and 1 top tooth coming in.
6. Can say "mamamammamma" and mean it. You are extremely attached to me and now say mamamama and I truly think you know that is my name :-)
7. You are so cuddly and sweet
8. You are very determined when you want something.
Happy 8 month birthday baby boy. We all love you so much!

In the box AGAIN!
This weekend we made a trip to Dallas to visit some close friends of mine. We had a blast playing with the Ross family and the Bassetts! Thanks so much Kim and Brett for hosting us, you guys are great hosts and really made us feel at home. And thank you Davin and Paisley for sharing all your toys! August woke up this morning asking if he could go play with Davin and Paisley. He is actually at HEB with Richard right now as I am typing this and when they were leaving to go to HEB, August told me that he was going "bye-e to play with "Dabin and PEEsley"
