Catch Up

The Boys in their matching sleep outfits. Richard bought these for them!
August LOVES daddy! His hair is long again and this is after a bath.... RDH is SO sleepy here!
August giving me flowers. I love when my boys get me flowers :-)
RDh inching along....he can make it across an entire room now.
August playing MUSIC. of course he is right by the jumperoo, because he has that music turned on as well.
playing the "guitar"

RDH is strong!

BABY CARLY! 12 hours after being born. Thanks for letting me come see you in the hospital. I still dont know how your mommy took all that pain, but i guess when you have a baby 30 minutes after getting to the hospital, you have no choice! Good thing it was 4am and you delivered at a hospital close to home, or else you would not have made it!
RDH's first solid meal. I caught them holding hands....so cute! RDH has started on brown rice cereal and breastmilk....he is a week away from being 6 months and he just seemed so ready to me. He is only having an evening meal at this point and nursing the rest of the time, but i think i am going to incorporate a mid day meal soon as well. Time to take out the steamer and blender to make baby food!

RDH did better/was more interested in eating than August was at his first meal.

Dinnertime in our house.
Driving like Daddy
Rolling around on the floor....notice August had to have his blanket down as well.
LOVE! August loves nothing more than to hug all over RDH

Eric and Rebekah's wedding!
Pretty bridal cake....and what is not to love about cakeballs for the Grooms cake....except maybe the arrangement they are in ;-)

Thank you Marci and Grandma for watching the boys!
Outside at Hula Hut.....it was a beautiful night!
I am sure the servers LOVED our table ;-) ...yes in total there were 5 kids.....4 of them were boys!

Chuck, Connie, and their boys.....little Carly was born just 3 days later!
RDH and his playmate Janae

RDH just chillin in his Polo
Enjoy the pictures from a few weeks ago of the wedding, Chuck's birthday dinner, and RDH's first meal. We have our new computer up and running. :-) Richard was on the team at AMD that developed a new processor, so we got a new computer with the new processor in it.....so everyone go out there and buy a new computer with the AMD Fusion processor :-)

August

Just a little note about August.....he is my muscial child! Ever since he was tiny tiny tiny, he has had a thing for music. When he started crawling in daycare and pulling up, his teachers would tell me that he would crawl over to the CD player, pull up, and turn it on. I actually witnessed this one time when I dropped him off and stayed in his room for about an hour while he played. I figured all children were like this, but now after having 2 kids, I can tell August has a special thing for music that RDH doesnt. August's new thing is to go over to RDH's jumperoo and turn on the music and then go play....I swear he always has to have it as background when he is playing. If he finds out there is a music component to something - he will always have it on. He also LOVES to dance.....Ms Gina and I laugh about how excited he gets about dancing and how he actually has beat. So for my muscial child.....I will make sure to enroll you in something when you get older so you can explore this further. I am thinking guitar lessons, so you can play like your grandpa did.

WELCOME Caroline Rose Collins!

We are so excited to welcome Caroline aka "Carly" Rose Collins to the world! She was born at 5am this morning weighing in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces, and measuring 20 inches. Apparently she was born very soon after making it to the hospital, so poor Connie didn't get to have any drugs! We can't wait to meet you Carly. Congratualtions Chuck and Connie on #3!

More RDH pics from Michele!

Kisses from Janae!
RDH, Janae, and Michele!

These are from RDH playing away at Michele's on Friday! Thank you so much for taking these Michele.

We had an awesome weekend. We started out with a birthday dinner for Chuck at Hula Hut on Friday. It was a beautiful day and a great time to be out on the lake! We had the best table there complete with 5 kids! Saturday, Richard and I went to a wedding and Aunt Marci and Grandma watched the kids...it was nice to leave, but I really started missing the kids at 9pm :-( We stayed until 10pm and left :-) I only had to make one awkward trip to the car to pump.....thankfully the parking lot was secluded! The wedding was gorgeous...they could not have asked for a better day! Sunday we soaked up lots of time with the kids! Richard spent time on the yard (with August's help) and washed and waxed the cars (with August's help). Over the weekend too, RDH became so much more physically advanced....he has been rolling for a while, but just this weekend he started to roll across entire rooms! He is also starting to get up on all fours! I think we are about to have 2 mobile ones in the house! I'll post pictures of the weekend later.......Richard got a new computer, so he is currently transferring information and I can't reach my pictures!

Sweet RDH

Laughing!
Thinking :-)
Playing with his playmate, Tyler (they are a week apart in age!)
Michele took these beautiful pictures of RDH during the day. This particular day, RDH had a visitor ...one of Michele's friends came by and her son, Tyler is only a week apart from RDH. Now we need to get some pictures with Janae! Looks like RDH is very well cared for and having lots of fun while Mommy is at work.

Conversations with August

I haven't done one of these entries in a while and August says so much so I wanted to paper a few of his recent "conversations" before I forget them. 1. Setting: Bath time. August has different sizes of ducks to play with in the bath. He lines them all up on the edge according to size and then says. "Daddy Duck, Momma Duck, and Baby Duck" as he points to each one. Then he takes the baby duck and makes a crying noise. Then he takes the Momma duck and makes it say "oh baby." Then he places the baby duck on the momma duck's chest and makes an eating sound. He has done this for me, Richard, and Grandma! HILARIOUS! Guess the baby breastfeeding has really been on his mind! He also points to my chest and says "Baby Eats" and nods his head. 2. The other night I was reading to August and noticed his knees were scratched up. I asked him what happened and he said "Walk, Ouch, Big Ouch, Knee" I called up Ms Gina that night and she said that August fell on their neighborhood walk. Poor August, he was trying to tell me how he fell during their walk! 3. Setting: Pretty much anywhere around the house where the baby is: August will throw Ho Ho in the baby's face and then say "NO BABY, it's Adoba's Ho Ho" then you can pretty much replace "Ho Ho" with anything,......No Baby, it's Adobas______ (fill in the blank). Richard and I have realized that when August is referring to himself - it he uses the name "Adoba," however, he can say "August" and will use that if he sees pictures of himself or a reflection of himself in the mirror.....funny how toddler brains work! 4. A few new phrases he has are: "Where are you?" When he gets home in the evenings with Richard, he usually comes running into the house saying..."Where are you Momma?" SO CUTE! I think he thinks I don't leave the house, since I leave after Richard in the mornings and get home before him. "Got you" "Momma's _____"-(fill in the blank with pretty much anything.....shirt, shoes, hat, etc) "Daddy's _______"(same as above) "Baby's ______" (same as above) August - we love hearing your little voice! (ok - i have tried to fix the formatting on this entry like 10 times.....but blogger prefers to just jumble the whole post together :-(

Activities!!!!

Digging in! I watched as Aunt Millie laid out paper plates and forks on her table....August patiently waited and grabbed his fork and plate. Then he sat until he got his piece of cake.....it was funny to watch him use a regular fork - it did not phase him one bit! He sat in a regular chair too! I am just so used to him in a highchair using his baby utensils......but this change didnt seem to bother him one bit....probably because he was eating CAKE
WAITING....
Saying "MA, EATS" Trying to let us know he was ready for his piece of cake!
Well we learned our lesson on sugar (on special occasions), so August was given a VERY small piece of cake.
Dylan's Birthday cake we got for him. YES, that is a TON of blue icing....NO we didn't think about it when we bought it.
Playing with Cousin Dylan
Dylan wanted to take a picture of August using his Nintendo......it was the sweetest thing to watch. Dylan would arrange August and August would just do whatever Dylan asked of him.....why wont he do that for Mommy?!!!
Posing for Dylan
Cake TIME!
August - could you possibly put anymore food in your mouth?
on the way to SA.....of COURSE Ho Ho had to make the trip as well.
Ho Ho now wears shoes. August decided this weekend that Ho Ho needs shoes when August wears his shoes. Thankfully the baby had grown out of these - so they were perfect for Ho Ho
Apparently this dumptruck was made to haul popcorn....
RDH chillin while we all ate at a restaurant on Sunday
RDH at the playground.....sorry RDH - you are too little to get out and play - you did, however, get a good dose of Vitamin D :-)
CLIMBING
SLIDING
Following Grayson
Ms Gina wrote August a special note today. Over this weekend he learned about 10+ words, with Gi Gi being one of them. He talked about "Gi Gi" all weekend long!

Saturday August got to play on the playground with Grayson.....we checked out one of the playgrounds at the elementary school in our neighborhood. I think the boys had a great time running around. August cant wait for Grayson to join him at Ms Ginas in the summer!!!

Sunday - we all headed to SA to throw Dylan a birthday party at Aunt Millies. His parents are in Korea right now, so we wanted to make his day extra special. August had a blast playing with sweet Dylan! We also ventured out for our first restaurant experience as a family of four......it went really well! Aunt Millie got to meet RDH for the first time and we also saw Grandpa.

Brotherly Love

August and RDH love each other SO much! Usually Richard drops off August at Ms Ginas, but on Thursday, I did both drop offs. I took RDH to Aunt Michele's first - since she is right down the street. When I didn't come back to the car with the baby - August was SO upset......He kept crying....Momma - BAAAAAAAAAAAAAABY! August has such a loving personality! He is always trying to include everyone.....Ms Gina says at naptime she sings "night night" to everyone and if she doesnt name everyone quick enough - August chimes in to include whoever she hasnt said yet. August is talking up a storm...it is awesome to be able to communicate with him!! He loves learning!! Ms Gina does lessons for the boys everyday and then she does separate lessons for Kenzie - who is 4....apparently, August has been joining in on Kenzie's preschool lessons and is constantly shouting out the answers :-) August is smart like his Daddy!
