What happens when Mommy and Daddy take Friday afternoon off?

I get to go to Zilker Park! Mommy finished all her Board Meetings this week! YAY!!!! and in celebration, her and Daddy took off Friday afternoon and we all went to Zilker park to ride the train! Mommy made sure we had sno cones and ice cream for our ride and we got to see all of Zilker Park! It was awesome! I also got to see Barton Springs and I cant wait to go back and swim. I was the perfect little boy for our trip and had so much fun. To wrap up our afternoon, we went to the playground to play and I got to climb on the SAME firetruck that Mommy did when she was little...yes - it is still there!

Sleep?

Once I was "sleep trained" by mommy and daddy at 5-6 months, I have done pretty darn good with my sleeping through the night. I sleep about 10-12 hours a night. I go to bed around 8-830 and get up at 730 for school. I do pretty darn good! Getting to this rountine was hard though and Mommy and Daddy definitely had to train me to sleep in my crib, by myself all night long. Even with all my success, I do still wake up occasionally.....like last night when I woke up at 2am. Mommy wanted so bad to go and scoop me up since this rarely happens, but she knew that if she did that then me waking up and her getting me would turn into a pattern.....and we dont want to start that! So, after crying for 30 minutes (LONG minutes for mommy) I was sound asleep again on my own! It is so hard for Mommy and Daddy to not want to soothe me, but wonderful that I do know how to soothe myself. Mommy wonders though......why some nights - do I wake up upset....can toddlers have bad dreams?

Mommy threw a shower for her best friend Laura. They have been friends for over 17 years! I hope that I will know her little girl for at least that long!

I have been very busy, so sorry I have not updated lately. I have just been having way too much fun playing. I am a VERY active boy! I never slow down :-)
Yesterday, I turned 14 months old! WOW! I am even starting to take a few steps now. My favorite things to do right now are: go on runs and walks with Mommy and Daddy, play with all my toys, "outside" time at daycare, and giving hugs and kisses. I have also really picked up my vocabulary and talk all the time....mommy and daddy are really starting to understand what I am saying now. My favorite things to do these days are read my books and stack my cups. Enjoy my new pictures.

Easter was lots of fun! Last Wednesday, we had a fun Easter egg hunt at school, although I was much more interested in hanging out with daddy than hunting eggs. Then Saturday, I got to go to my friend Olivia's first birthday....I had so much fun playing with all her toys! After that, it was off to Grandma's for Easter dinner.
