This weekend was packed with love, happiness, and lots of great food :-) as we watched our special friends Rich and Alex marry. Friday we had the rehearsal dinner for the wedding at the Paterson's lake house. We left both RDH and August with Grandma....THANK YOU Grandma! It was a very special evening with close friends. Rich and Alex have such nice families, so we were honored to share in their special day.
Then Saturday was the wedding. It was beautiful and we were so happy to share in their special day. Grandma stayed with both boys again, so we are so grateful to her!!
Rich and Richard have been friends since undergrad at UT, so for over 10 years. It was great to hang out with old friends that we dont get a chance to see much....and friends that are now living out of Texas. Congratulations Alex and Rich!
....and I am very grateful for dark parking lots and great friends who help move cars around, so I could go and pump and not have to be shuttled to another parking lot. :-)

RDH is 6 MONTHS OLD!!!!

Blowing bubbles on Easter with Grandma

RDH put himself to sleep with his Hop Hop
Right before he feel asleep

RDH is 6 MONTHS OLD! Oh My Gosh....Time Flies!
At 6 months RDH now rolls all over the place, is army crawling/scooting, and "talks" non stop. Last week we started RDH on brown rice cereal and breastmilk and after only a week - he has also had sweet potatoes, peas, and pears. I am only waiting 2-3 days between new foods this time around. With August we waited like a week between foods....but RDH seems much more enthusiastic about eating, so it is fun to try new ones. So far, he loves them all!
RDH's 6 month appt with Dr H isnt until mid May because I need to get through my Q1 board meetings first, but I weighed him on our home baby scale and he is about 17 pounds! He still LOVES to nurse, but will tolerate breastmilk in a bottle for Michele during the day. :-) His schedule is:
Up at 630am - Nurse
PLAY
930-1045 - Nap
11am - 5-6 oz bottle at Micheles.....or if it is the weekend - Nurses
PLAY
230 - 5-6 oz bottle at Micheles - on weekends - Nurse
245-4 - NAP
PLAY
530 - Mommy is home.....Nurse
630 - Solids
830 - Nurse
830-9pm Bed
2am - Nurse
So he is at about 6 feedings now. :-) plus a meal of solids
RDH still has his blue eyes. I think they are going to stay. They arent as light as August's eyes, but they are definitely blue and sometimes they look green as well.
Keep growing and stay healthy baby boy. We love you SO MUCH! You are a true blessing in our lives!

Mom! Where are MORE Eggs?
We had a great neighborhood turnout for the hunt!
Sweet Janae! Sorry Janae, your playmate RDH didn't make it......he was sleeping at home.

MORE eggs!
Hunting Eggs! August was great at hunting eggs....guess he had a lot of practice at Ginas on Friday! He ran around and scooped them all up.....but shook each one first to make sure there was candy inside!

Kissing Grayson....doesnt Grayson look happy? August loves his friends!

Hanging out with Grayson "Sisson"
Getting ready to hunt eggs!
Showing off my First Easter onesie
Playing with BOTH Easter baskets :-) Mommy made a mistake and ordered RDH the LARGE basket from Pottery Barn.....oops! Now RDH's basket is twice as big as August's basket!

UT Baseball game with Daddy! Daddy picked me up early from Ms Ginas on Tuesday and we went and watched TX play!
I loved the popcorn!
The pictures are backwards.....but here is a recap....
Tuesday - Richard left work early, grabbed August and the two of them went to the UT baseball game together. August had a ton of fun and so did Richard!
Friday - August got to have a party at Ms Ginas. They hunted eggs, painted little lambs, and he came home with all kinds of presents from Ms Gina! She must have really taught him how to hunt eggs, because he was a pro on Saturday morning at the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt.
Saturday - August and I started out at the neighborhood Easter Egg hunt....he did so good! He waited until they said go and off he went for the eggs.....he knew exactly what to do - he would pick up an egg.....shake it, smile, say "Eats," and then put it in his basket. He was very competitive and raced around grabbing as many eggs as he could.....he definitely understood the concept! RDH and Daddy stayed home since RDH was napping. August also enjoyed seeing Grayson and Janae at the hunt. If we got too far from Grayson, August would look around and say "Sisson, R U?" looks like he has a new friend!
After the hunt, we all went to Grandmas, where RDH and August soaked up lots of love from Marci, Grandma, Ashley, and Linda
Sunday - We loaded everyone up and went to mass at St Catherines. The boys were wonderful in mass.....August was cracking me up because after every song, he would clap real loud and say "YAAAAY" Hilarious!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! It is Mommy's FAVORITE holiday! It is about the true miracle which our faith is based on.
